Saturday Date.

wearing vintage denim moto jacket, thrifted crochet duster vest, marijuana tee from Sixhundred, stripped leggings by Leg Candy, Jeffery Campbell shoes from Round 2LA, thrifted flag bag, mickey mouse button and beanie, gifted alien earring made by Sam Adams.

no rain yesterday, rain storm today.
Saturday was an active day for Annabelle, Fez and I. Took the day for Saturday brunch at House of Pies in Los Feliz, strolled into Sky Light book stores for some much needed reading material. Thrifted around LA and for the night cap ended up at Yogurtland. So refreshing to just have a slow morning and a relax day with friends. On another note I started my first day at See You Monday :)) I'm super excited to join the team. I've fallen in love with the company and can't wait to unleash all the amazing ideas the line has up it's sleeves. If your not familiar with See You Monday I invite you to check out it's website, facebook, twitter and tumblr. The SS/12 collection is going to be mind blowing!!!!! Catch the collection on Wasteland, Asos, Tobi and Nasty Gal in the next coming weeks!

Tropical Dream

My boyfriend Fez
Annabelle Lee and Jean Chong from See You Monday

wearing Vintage Betsey Johnson dress, gold straw hat, socks from Betsey Johnson and Orange Pop Wedges from Lola Shoetique

This past Saturday my boyfriend Fez and good friends Annabelle, Jean and Crystal took a trip to catch some seats to view some LA's fashion shows. I got to preview Gypsy Junkies, Curly V and Jen Awad. I loved everything each designer showcased. Sadly I forgot to charge the battery of my camera and wasn't able to capture anything :( and my iPhone takes horrible photos when it comes to motion photography.

Thriftiness

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Wearing Missoni Inspired Jumper from Fallas Paredes, a shaggy shrug from T and Showroom

When the thrift stores are closed, I shop anywhere else where I can save a buck and still get chic clothes. My bf and I took a trip to Fallas Paredes outlet store this weekend. As some of you know Fallas is known to be supppper ghetto. But nonetheless I always find some really chic pieces amongst the craziness. Shopping at Fallas reminds me of shopping at a thrift store a) because it's always a cluster fuck of clothes, b) the prices are pretty amazing and c) digging through clothes upon clothes just to find that one piece you'll be in complete love with. I'll be posting a haul of what I bought soon along with outfit posts. YAY!!!!!

Iridescent

middle photo by photographer Bryce Logan, bottom right corner photo by Hi Styley

I'm definitely more of an iridescent kinda girl. My friend Kiki once gave me a spirit animal of a chameleon and my best friend Geisha calls me Rainbow. When i was a tween friends called me Punky. A chameleon is probably the best spirit animal for me.
It totally replicates my style.

If you know me...

Wearing a thrifted Banana Republic Blouse, thrifted cut of shorts, thrifted sketchers cage sandals, accessories/jewelry thrifted.

Then you know I LOVE TO THRIFT!!!!!!
I've been known to spend a whole paycheck on thrifting, I've also been known to skip meals and sleep to thrift. Nothing is more close to my heart than shopping at a thrift store. Here are my top tips in vintage buying and thrift shopping.

HAPPY Thrifting!

-Tip 1: Wear a full skirt, so you can try on pants, skirts and shorts under it. (most times fitting rooms are unavailable)
-Tip 2: Watch for the daily specials – certain color tags means certain discounts
-Tip 3: make sure to eat before thrifting (shopping under hunger is never fun!!!)
-Tip 4: pace yourself you could get really distracted
-Tip 5: always bring cash, sometimes sales associates won’t charge you tax.
Remember when shopping with a buddy all thrift rules apply!
That means if your girlfriend finds something you like, sorry finders keepers. But sharing is caring.
-Tip 6:  I suggest going to thrift stores alone!!! or with a boy who is a friend and knows your style, Because two extra eyes is better than none.
